Originally from Bulgaria, Konstantin Houbtchev moved to Canada at the age of 26, embarking on a new journey in the world of dental technology. He began his career at one of the larger labs in Windsor, Ontario, and in 1996, he earned his Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation. By the age of 32, Konstantin's dedication and expertise led Zack, the previous owner of Essex Dental Laboratory (EDL), to invite him to become a business partner.
Over the next 13 years, Konstantin and Zack built a remarkable team that has become the backbone of the laboratory. In 2005, Konstantin received his Registered Dental Technician (RDT) designation, and five years later, he assumed sole ownership of Essex Dental Laboratory. Under his leadership, the lab has transformed into a full-service facility, achieving a significant milestone as one of the first laboratories in Canada to have an in-house milling machine.
When reflecting on his most memorable moments as the owner of EDL, Konstantin emphasizes the importance of his hardworking team. He is committed to providing exceptional customer service and fostering long-term relationships with clients. Konstantin prioritizes open communication, stating, "I will always make time to answer everyone's questions because I want my team to know that they can come to me for anything." As Secretary and Office Manager, she oversees all incoming cases, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality dental prosthetics such as crowns, bridges, and dentures. Bibi is also responsible for handling client inquiries, managing accounting and invoicing, and overseeing payroll.
Her expertise stems from her Dental Technology certificate from Wayne County College and years of experience in customer service. What Bibi loves most about her role is the daily interaction with both the office staff and dental practices, as well as the satisfaction of knowing that her work helps patients regain their smiles and confidence.
Armand Bajrami has been the Lead Designer at Essex Dental Laboratory for over five years, overseeing complex full-mouth treatments, implant surgeries, and digital dental solutions such as All-on-X prosthetics and digital smile designs. Known for his strong communication with dentists and his dedication to innovation, Armand constantly seeks new ways to enhance the lab's precision and efficiency through the latest digital technology.
